About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Talented Group. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with key partners, including State Managers and BDMs, to drive business growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management & Business Development
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners to ensure products and services are front of mind and first choice.
    • Create and execute business plans for assigned accounts and territories to achieve growth targets.
    • Identify and pursue new market opportunities and work with internal stakeholders to maximise business development efforts.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Marketing and Promotion
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns targeted at mortgage brokers and aggregators.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and PD Days, promoting our brand and generating leads.
    • Lead discussions for annual sponsorship agreements to secure the best outcomes for the company.
    • Develop and roll out webinar content as needed by our partners.
    • Train and educate customers and partners, driving product advocacy at all times.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM, detailing all meetings and account interactions.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on business development progress.
    • Analyse data to identify trends, measure performance, and inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar BDM/Sales role, ideally in financial services or fintech sectors.
  • Experience working with finance brokers is preferred.
  • Strong network within the mortgage broker and aggregator community.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and seize business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
