Experienced Lived Experience Professional

The Lived Experience Ambassador will play a pivotal role in shaping quality improvement initiatives by harnessing the expertise of patients, service users, and carers.
This position involves collaborating with the Experience of Care team to co-produce solutions that cater to the diverse needs of individuals within the healthcare system.
Responsibilities include:
- Embedding meaningful lived experience expertise into quality improvement processes to drive patient-centric outcomes.
- Representing the organization on local and national forums to amplify the voices of patients and their families.
- Fostering strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure collective efforts towards enhancing patient care.
This is a non-clinical role requiring a deep understanding of mental health, learning disabilities, dementia, or autism, as well as experience in facilitating inclusivity and empowerment.
Key qualifications include:
- Lived experience of mental health, learning disability, dementia, or autism (personal or carer) and a proven track record of supporting others.
- Strong knowledge of NHS care structures, information flows, and medical terminology.
- Experience in co-designing and co-producing projects with multiple stakeholders, including NHS colleagues, commissioners, service users, carers, and their families.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
As a key ambassador for our organization, this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
