Recreational Program Support Specialist

Our Recreational Program Support Specialists play a vital role in supporting the delivery of recreational programs for aged care residents, promoting their psychological, social, and physical wellbeing.

The Role:

  • Understand, empathize, appreciate and promote our Christian values and ethos.
  • Work sympathetically with people living with dementia to create positive experiences for residents.
  • Monitor and review recreational needs of aged residents to develop suitable, innovative activities and programs.
  • Empathetic approach, enthusiasm and patience - use initiative to create positive experiences for residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families and employees, including exploring resident needs or encouraging resident participation.
  • A committed team player who can work independently with limited supervision.
  • Drive residents to medical appointments using the company vehicle.

About You:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care and/or Cert IV in Lifestyle and Leisure.
  • Demonstrated experience working with the aged and an understanding of aged-related conditions.
  • Computer literate and experienced using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • National NDIS worker screening check.
