About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Operations Manager to join our team at Drover Ag Agricultural Recruitment. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our sheep seedstock business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the livestock operation, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve breeding and genetics, pasture management, and supplementary feeding.
  • Collaborate with the farm team to achieve consistently high scanning and weaning rates.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Work closely with the owner and other team members to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • At least six years of experience in sheep-focused livestock operation/management.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and execute day-to-day operations.
  • Desire to grow within the role and develop skills.
  • Tidy in self-presentation and farm presentation.
  • Sound basis of computer knowledge & documentation.
  • Delegate & prioritize tasks and staff.
  • Good communicator.
