Overview of the Role
This position involves providing technical support to customers on software applications and automation hardware.
The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex software issues, as well as documenting activities and findings in a case management system.
Additionally, this role will involve collaboration with colleagues in other support centers and departments, focusing on delivering a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership and resolution of complex software issues, including proposing workarounds for customers
- Timely and accurate documentation of activities and findings in case management systems
- Contribution to digital self-help materials promoting faster problem resolution for customers
- Collaboration with colleagues in other support centers and departments
- Focus on customer experience, ensuring successful interactions and managing customer expectations through regular communication
- Continued learning and contribution to team knowledge sharing
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in application support within an ASX top 100 business
- Proficiency in software architecture, unit testing, and SDLC concepts
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or computer science
- Working understanding of software and automation hardware communications
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience with AVEVA System Platform and Plant SCADA or GEO SCADA
- Understanding of Windows operating system and networking concepts
- Knowledge of general Windows operating system tools and commands
- Ability to integrate hardware and software components
