This role may suit someone looking for a sea change or local to Bunbury. As an Operations Support Manager, you will work across all parts of the Southwest Region.

From Bridgetown's rolling hills to Pemberton's Karri Forest and the unspoilt coastline along Margaret River, your office on the road will take you to picturesque places like Waroona, Collie, Augusta and beyond.

A balanced role that combines working in office and field-based positions across the region, this job involves extensive day travel within the region and occasional trips to Perth for forums.

As Operations Support Manager, you will lead and support a team of technical, administration and systems support staff delivering services within the South West community.

The Operations Support function connects central process owners with field-based work, covering responsibilities including regulatory and technical compliance, project delivery support, work planning, field crew technical support and business services in the regional office.

As part of the regional lead team, you are key to initiating change and solving complex issues. This could involve technical, regulatory, operational or asset issues, where you will lead investigatory work and define root causes while seeking streamlined resolution processes.

**Job Responsibilities:

  • Build employee capability through mentoring, coaching and performance feedback using leadership experience to facilitate connections between teams and enhance engagement.
  • Use stakeholder management skills to build strong relationships with internal service providers to assist in delivering their accountabilities within the South West Region.
  • Demonstrate leadership by ensuring all work is undertaken with safety as the priority, where no injury is considered acceptable, and all activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.
  • Review operational performance across the Region and identify performance improvement and risk mitigation opportunities.
  • Assist the Regional Manager to manage and report business performance of the region utilising continuous improvement processes that ensure efficient use of resources to meet regional performance objectives.

**Key Skills and Experience:

  • Qualification in a relevant discipline and substantial experience in managing and delivering technical and support services in an infrastructure-based organisation.
  • Exceptional Leadership skills with experience leading and managing an outcome-focused team, engaging, motivating and inspiring the Operational Services team to deliver high performance.
  • Leading and providing customer relationship management within a large multi-disciplined service organisation.
