About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Category Buyer to join our dynamic Commercial team at The Iconic. As a key member of our Category Buying team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and maximizing profit within your assigned category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Strategy and Planning: Support the development and implementation of category strategies, including budget planning and sales forecasting.
  • Vendor Management: Assist in the procurement of products, negotiate with vendors, and monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Category Buyer and Senior Category Buyer to ensure accurate inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Resolve issues or discrepancies with orders, invoices, or deliveries, and communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze sales data, interpret trends, and provide insights to inform category strategies and vendor negotiations.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Buyer in a high-volume business.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Jira, Excel, BI, and BC.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
