About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Partnerships and Events Lead to join our Brand, Marketing, and Communications (BMC) team at Ethos Urban.

As a key member of our team, you will play a dual role: leading our corporate events program and driving stakeholder engagement through strategic partnerships. This position requires a business development mindset paired with event management expertise to maximise client growth through our sponsorship and event initiatives across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Partnership and Lead Generation: Proactively seek partnerships and events that generate valuable leads and enhance brand awareness. Leverage your marketing and event expertise to convert these partnerships and event engagements into actionable client opportunities.
  • Event Operations: Oversee all logistical aspects of both corporate and partnership events, ensuring seamless execution and delivering exceptional attendee experiences.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with our marketing and communications specialist to create content opportunities from our events, showcasing our thought leadership and expertise.
  • Financial Management: Co-create and manage event budgets in collaboration with the team, ensuring effective financial stewardship.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: As part of our small team, you will support each other on broader marketing and communications activities, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

We are looking for an experienced professionals with:

  • Technical Experience: A minimum of 4+ years' event experience, preferably in professional services, property development, architectural sectors, or large corporate environments.
  • Business Development Mindset: Demonstrated ability to connect event and partnership activities with client acquisition goals, with a strategic approach to expanding our client base.
  • Project Management: Proven experience managing and delivering multiple and/or concurrent events from end-to-end, including budget, stakeholder, and event supplier management.
  • Communication: Strong writing, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to generate engaging content from our partnership events.
  • Experience running virtual events, such as webinars, hybrid events, and LinkedIn Live, is highly advantageous.
  • Creative, proactive thinker with optimism and composure under pressure.
