As a Claims Team Manager, you will lead a team of claims staff and provide operational execution of best practice programs and processes to ensure the best possible outcomes for our members.

**Key Responsibilities Include:

- Leading a team of four (4) claims staff in providing legal services to our members.

- Directing the delivery of claims advice and services within geographical remit.

- Contributing to strategic planning and monitoring operations to pursue opportunities for improvement in claims processes and procedures.

- Managing member claims and investigations in accordance with relevant guidelines.

- Supporting the delivery of medico-legal advice service to our members in a 24/7 shift environment.

- Educating members, staff, and internal and external bodies in medico-legal, clinical risk, and claims matters as required.

**Requirements:

- Tertiary qualifications in law or health.

- Senior claims management experience ideally in a medical indemnity environment.

- Advanced understanding of insurance principles and insurance law.

- Strong people leadership skills and relationship building skills.

- Excellent communication and advocacy skills.

- Basic financial acumen.
