Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Generalist HR Manager to join our HR Operations team, supporting all facets of the HR spectrum for our Australia-based employee group in a fast-paced global organisation.

This is a hands-on, diverse role that requires a seasoned HR generalist who can work collaboratively with both locally based colleagues and third-party partners, as well as globally based HR teams.

The Generalist HR Manager will provide robust, people-centric, and compliant HR excellence to our Australia population while contributing to our impact as a global People function through their work within the HR Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain HR philosophies, policies, and procedures that align with our company culture and ESG ambitions.
  • Provide responsive HR advice and support to incoming customer requests, including required documentation and system updates.
  • Manage organisational and role changes from design through to delivery, ensuring accurate capture of new hires, changes, and leavers.
  • Ensure timely enrolment to benefits plans and portals, and contribute to the implementation and ongoing improvement of our global HRIS.
  • Oversee compliance matters such as mandatory training, document checks, and sign-off.
Partnering and Culture Development:
  • Work proactively with leaders in Australia and other regions to understand their needs and drive business growth through people.
  • Deliver education and training as needed, including annual reviews, new benefits provisions, and legislative updates.
  • Brokering relationships between HR Operations and other parts of the People function (talent acquisition, L&D) to provide customers with the support they need.
  • Contribute to initiatives that feed into our ESG ambitions.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of generalist Human Resources practice looking after an Australia-based workforce, preferably in a global business.
  • Broad knowledge of Australia-based employment, compensation, organisational planning, employee relations, and training and development.
  • The ability to work independently across the full generalist spectrum from administration through to partnership.
  • Proficient in Australian payroll principles.
  • Attention to detail to deal with administrative aspects of HR.
  • Experience working in an environment undergoing growth-related change.
