Cloud Engineer Role

This role focuses on the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based systems to ensure stability, security, and efficiency in the cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or IT, with experience in administering and managing cloud services. They will also be skilled in data analysis and visualization tools, as well as proficient in problem-solving, prioritization, and incident management.

We are seeking a technical expert who can provide guidance on cloud computing security requirements, support new technology implementations, and contribute to projects and initiatives focused on continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering and managing MS Cloud services (Identity, Exchange, Teams, Intune, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Participating in the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud network infrastructure
  • Providing technical SME for ICT Operations, providing guidance on cloud computing security requirements, and supporting new technology implementations
  • Collaborating with IT Security to align SOE security hardening with PSPF, ISM, ACSC, CIS, and DTA Protected pattern guidelines
  • Developing and enhancing automated processes for reliable solution deployment; managing application packaging and deployment via Intune with IT Security endorsement
  • Participating in ICT Operations device evaluations and ensuring applications and infrastructure perform efficiently

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
  • Microsoft Azure and 365 training and certifications are desirable
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation including system designs and governance, change requests, SOP's and knowledge base articles
  • Experience in overseeing system upgrades and rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption
  • Ability to provide effective training to users and promote system proficiency
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools
  • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, prioritization, and incident management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to contribute to projects and initiatives, with a focus on continuous improvement
