About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Systems Deployment Director to join our team at REO Group in Melbourne, Australia.

Salary Package: $220,000 per annum

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the rollout of a new SAP Payroll module across our organization, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Maintain data integrity by reviewing and cleansing current payroll data and system processes.
  • Review and optimize weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay runs for over 4,000 employees, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Ensure accurate employee files and records, as well as risk mitigation and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training documents, and process maps for payroll-related tasks.
  • Provide expert interpretation of retail, wholesale, and food preparation awards, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to deliver excellent customer service and support.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track project progress and success.
  • Prepare and submit month-end close reports to finance, including all payroll-related documentation.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the new payroll system.
  • Develop a comprehensive handover plan to ensure smooth transition upon project completion.
Candidate Profile

We seek an experienced Payroll Implementation Manager with a proven track record of managing end-to-end payroll implementation projects in large, complex organizations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working in a diverse team environment, and possess a solid understanding of payroll processes, systems, and regulations.

A background in process improvement, system implementations, and testing is highly desirable. Experience across multiple payroll projects and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
