Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and values-driven professional to join our team as an Alcohol and Other Drug Services Case Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient day-to-day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral, and case work within a recovery-oriented and person-led service environment.

The post-holder will report to the Team Leader and be expected to develop and monitor individual treatment plans, maintain case management documentation, records, reports, and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.

A key aspect of this role is to assess client and program risk and mitigate risk in accordance with policy and procedures. Additionally, the Case Worker will work collaboratively and professionally with other services and participate in sector events and training.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).
  • Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).
  • A valid Working with Children Check.
  • A valid Drivers Licence.
  • A First aid certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.
  • Ability to develop and tailor programs to meet client needs.
  • Knowledge of AOD, mental health, community services, and health sectors.
