Legal Contract Reviewer Role

We are seeking a skilled Legal Contract Reviewer to join our specialist contract review team. This team assists Corporate Counsel with reviewing contracts such as tender documents, professional services, and consultancy contracts.

  • Review and assess contracts proposed by clients or subconsultants and identify key clauses for negotiation.
  • Liaise with the business with respect to negotiating key clauses.
  • Deal with general contract queries from business units.

This role can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane office. We offer flexible working arrangement, including work from home and tailored working hours, as well as additional leave options.

Responsibilities
  • Completion of contract reviews, against existing company guidelines, to mitigate potential legal risk.
  • Undertake legal research for the APAC Risk Management team.
  • Assist with review of project correspondence on claims.
  • Preparation of legal documents, forms, and contracts.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Be keen to learn and curious about contract clauses.
  • Be well organized and comfortable with taking ownership of tasks while managing deadlines.
  • Have strong drafting skills and attention to detail when reviewing and assisting with legal documents.
  • Have strong communication skills with a positive and proactive attitude, able to connect with stakeholders throughout the business.
  • Enjoy working in a close team environment with a warm and friendly approach.

Prior experience in law firms, in-house, contract management, or review roles is essential and highly regarded.
