The Role
We are seeking a talented Lawyer or Associate/Senior Associate to join our Corporate Transactions team for a 12-month fixed term contract. The role involves managing and supervising corporate M&A and commercial contracting matters, including due diligence, local counsel outreach, contract review, and developing innovative M&A solutions for valued clients. This role provides the opportunity to rethink how we deliver legal advice by leveraging global teams, legal technology, and generative AI.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and supervising junior lawyers and legal analysts
- Building commercial relationships with practice groups, consulting divisions, and clients locally and globally
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts
- Developing innovative M&A solutions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of legal experience in corporate M&A transactions within a respected firm, government, or in-house role
- Experience with contracts across commercial activities such as sales, procurement, franchising, distribution, reseller, joint ventures, IT
- Desire to be part of a growing team that seeks to change how advice is provided; curiosity and willingness to challenge, innovate, and think differently
- Well-developed legal skills, including drafting, negotiating, analysis, and project management
- Ability to communicate complex matters clearly in plain English (verbal and written)
