Senior Contract Specialist

A highly motivated and experienced contract specialist is required to join a reputable construction firm in Brisbane. The successful candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in contract administration, with strong skills in contract management, cost control, and stakeholder communication.

About the Role

This role involves drafting, reviewing, and administering head contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining accurate cost control systems, including project budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and administer contract documents, including head contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Establish and maintain accurate cost control systems, including project budgeting and forecasting.
  • Prepare, track, and value variations, extensions of time (EOTs), and progress claims.
  • Identify and assess potential commercial and contractual risks.
  • Liaise effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 3-7 years of experience as a Contract Administrator in the Australian building construction industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working on projects ranging from $20 million to $90 million.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
