About the Opportunity- This role offers hybrid work options in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne offices.
Step into a significant career-defining position partnering with executives and clients to influence project strategy and manage risk. You'll be part of a team delivering nationally significant projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Advise on various contract models, including D&C, EPC, lump sum, target cost, cost reimbursable, alliances, frameworks, and joint ventures.
- Lead front-end contracting, drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment.
- Provide practical advice on contract risk, disputes, and compliance.
- Develop strong relationships with delivery teams and clients to resolve issues effectively.
- Improve internal legal processes, policies, and templates for efficiency and best practice.
Beyond projects, you'll gain exposure to insurance, PPSA, governance matters, privacy, data protection, supplier agreements, and workplace relations issues. Contribute to compliance frameworks like modern slavery, anti-bribery, and competition law while supporting broader risk management initiatives.
What We're Looking For:- A qualified lawyer with experience in front-end construction and infrastructure.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills, confidence working across pre-contract and delivery phases.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to engage confidently with senior executives and clients.
- Commercially minded, providing business-focused advice for project success.
- Motivation to take on a leadership role with visibility, impact, and progression opportunities.
