Strategic Community Leader

You will be part of the leadership team leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting high-quality services, programs, engagement and development through the Unit.

The role provides strategic leadership and coordination to implement programs through policies, standards, practices and systems. You will manage assets, programs and services provided by local government to meet the needs of communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing and communicating strategic plans, policies and objectives in accordance with the community strategic plan.
  • Providing leadership and vision for the Unit consistent with the broad strategic direction for program policies, standards and systems.
  • Planning activities consistent with project management framework, annual service planning and proactive cross-organisation engagement and collaboration.
  • Ensuring consultation with community and development of strategies and programs to meet social needs.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships with pragmatism, kindness and integrity.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong capabilities to manage key stakeholder relationships while continuing to build organisational capability.
