Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to fill the position of Regulatory Response Analyst in our Sydney office. This role is vital in ensuring that our organization meets its regulatory obligations while contributing to the overall safety and reliability of the Australian payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in addressing regulatory inquiries, identifying gaps, and managing enforcement actions.
- Compile, review, and submit necessary documentation to regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Support regulatory audits and examinations by preparing relevant materials, coordinating meetings, and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
- Attend meetings with regulators as required and maintain detailed records of discussions.
- Oversee document management and change controls for submitted documentation.
- Manage project scope, timelines, and resources for regulatory initiatives, ensuring successful delivery.
- Provide updates on regulatory initiatives to senior management and escalate any potential risks or issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to effectively respond to regulatory requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate the impact of new regulations on business operations and recommend necessary actions.
- Assist in developing compliance frameworks and controls to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a regulatory analyst or response role.
- Proven experience managing regulatory requests and implementing new legislation.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment in payments or financial services is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable tasks.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to make informed administrative decisions aligned with organizational objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A flexible approach to support team needs and cross-training opportunities.
