Underground Mine Leadership Position

We are seeking experienced Underground Production Supervisors to join our team at the Broadmeadow Mine in central Queensland.
This leadership role involves supervising coal mine workers and taking control of activities in one or more Explosion Risk Zones for an underground coal mine.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise coal mine workers and take control of activities in one or more Explosion Risk Zones for an underground coal mine
- Carry out inspections of an Explosion Risk Zone, assessing if the zone is safe for operations, covering all matters in Coal Mining Safety and Health legislation
- Direct and oversee all personnel, systems and equipment within the mining zone
- Comply with, and audit compliance to, the Safety and Health Management System for the mine
- Record findings of inspections and other activities, and make them available to coal mine workers
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess an underground statutory ticket - a minimum of a Deputy's Certificate of Competency in Queensland.
You should have demonstrated leadership skills and experience, supervising work teams in an underground environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, with interpersonal skills allowing you to build relationships within your teams and across departments.
