Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Local Area Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with people with disabilities and their families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting NDIS-eligible individuals, their families, and carers to establish and implement NDIS plans that support their goals. This will involve providing pre-planning, planning, and plan reassessment services, as well as ongoing monitoring and support to ensure participants receive the best possible outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working with people with disabilities. A Working with Children Check (Employee) and NDIS Workers Screening Check will also be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist NDIS-eligible individuals, their families, and carers to establish and implement NDIS plans that support their goals.
  • Provide pre-planning, planning, and plan reassessment services to ensure participants receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with community-based organisations to raise awareness and promote inclusivity for people with disabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee).
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Qualifications in disability or lived experience in disability (desirable).
