Community Mental Health Care Specialist Role

Job Description: This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering community-based mental health care. As a Community Mental Health Care Specialist, you will work with individuals and families to provide recovery-oriented support and connect them with relevant resources.

Key Responsibilities: You will conduct bio-psycho-social assessments, develop treatment plans, collaborate with senior clinicians, engage consumers and their networks in care, and participate in quality improvement projects.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), as well as qualifications in nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, or social work. You should possess strong clinical skills in mental health assessment and treatment, along with the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
