About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Receptionist to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As the first point of contact, you will provide a warm welcome to our residents and visitors, creating a positive and friendly environment.

The role is varied, with responsibilities including answering phone calls, greeting visitors, managing the reception area, and showing prospective residents and their families around. You may also be required to perform administrative tasks such as typing, photocopying, and filing.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be professional, caring, courteous, and well-organized. A good telephone manner and strong communication skills are essential. No formal qualifications are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, visitors, and colleagues
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming
  • Answer phone calls and respond to queries in a professional manner
  • Show prospective residents and their families around the home
  • Perform administrative tasks such as typing, photocopying, and filing
