About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Team Leader to join our care team at Sandhill Care Home in South Launceston. As a key member of our team, you will play an integral role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their individual needs, wishes, and goals are met at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Provide social and emotional support to all residents, ensuring care provision is holistic and person-centered.
  • Support the coordination of care needs for residents across the home, including medication management, nutrition, and hydration, pressure care management.
  • Lead and supervise care on the shift, within designated wings or areas.
  • Perform medicine-related tasks in accordance with scope of qualification, state or territory legislation, regulation, and Calvary policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with APRHA registration to administer medication) or Certificate 4 in aged care or equivalent with medication competency.
  • High level of commitment, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
  • An effective listener with the ability to communicate at all levels, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and use information technology and programs, and to learn new skills as required.
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organization.
