**Your Role**

We are seeking an experienced Airport Operations Specialist to join our team. As an Airport Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft movements, including handling critical tasks such as baggage operations, loading and unloading, operating specialized equipment, and receiving and dispatching aircraft.

**Key Responsibilities**

The successful candidate will perform a range of duties, including:

  • Performing bagroom functions, including scanning and manual handling of luggage.
  • Loading and unloading baggage and freight efficiently.
  • Managing aircraft receipt and dispatch procedures.
  • Executing aircraft pushback operations safely.
  • Providing essential water and waste services.
  • Operating ground service equipment on the ramp.

**Benefits**

  • A base hourly rate of $25.40, exclusive of shift penalties and superannuation.
  • 11.5% Superannuation contributions.
  • Shift penalties for early morning, evening, and overnight shifts.
  • Additional pay for weekend work (time and a half on Saturdays, double time on Sundays).

  • Comprehensive paid training and enrolment in a Cert III course.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high level of proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • A valid Driver's License (including Provisional License).
  • Ability to pass Drug, Alcohol, and Audio tests (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
  • Capability of obtaining an ASIC card (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and Public Holidays (e.g., Christmas).
  • Capacity to undertake shifts between 4-10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work shifts spanning 05:00 - 23:00.
  • Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight.
  • Available for a 1-week full-time paid training.
