Located on the Far North Coast of New South Wales, our shire is a popular tourism destination with pristine beaches, rainforest retreats and hinterland hideaways.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable water infrastructure specialist to join our Utilities Construction team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various plant machinery and performing manual labour to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater infrastructure.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of and experience in the construction, maintenance and repair of water and wastewater infrastructure including pipelines, manholes, storage tanks, valve pits and small sewer pump stations.
  • The ability to operate relevant plant items (such as tipper truck, front end loader, backhoe, etc.) and possess basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and devices (e.g. tablet, iPhone) applications, including Microsoft Office and SCADA.
  • Proven knowledge and ability to use pipe lasers and dumpy levels.
  • The ability to perform a range of physical labouring duties.
