Culinary Specialist

Harvest Pub Operations is a reputable hospitality company operating in Maitland. We are currently seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at the Windsor Castle. This full-time position will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of food quality and standards in our busy kitchen environment.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be expected to prepare, season, and cook food to exacting standards for table service. They will also ensure compliance with health and food regulations, control temperatures of ovens and cooking equipment, and maintain high-quality presentation of dishes. Additionally, they will store, freeze, and preserve foods safely and efficiently, as well as cater to dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu specifications
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene
- Control oven and cooking equipment temperatures
- Present dishes attractively and consistently
- Store and preserve food safely and efficiently
- Cater to special dietary requirements
- Work collaboratively with the head chef to plan innovative menus

Requirements and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality, and have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a cook in a similar environment. Alternatively, candidates with 3 years of experience in a busy kitchen may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000-$80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
