Our Mission
We Empower provides personalized support to individuals with disabilities, promoting autonomy and self-determination.
Your Role
As a Support Professional, you will collaborate with mental health-experienced staff to assist participants in achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives.
You will be responsible for assisting clients with daily tasks, therapy assistance, and community access, while maintaining a flexible availability and long-term commitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting clients with NDIS goals and domestic duties
- Assisting clients with community access and travel arrangements
- Capacity building and independent skill development
Requirements
- A relevant qualification and 6 months of experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid training
- Manual Handling training (or willingness to obtain)
- Positive, reliable, empathetic approach to support people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate or Immunisation evidence required
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals who may have complex support needs in different environments
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Initiative and self-motivation
- Flexibility and availability is essential in this role
