About Our Disability Support Role
We are dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities across various regions through our support services.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate III or IV/Diploma in Disability or relevant qualification is required for this position.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role is necessary.
- Applicants must hold current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Screening Check, NDIS Orientation Certificate, Working with Children Check, and Police Check.
- A driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance are also essential.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Collaboration within a team environment is crucial for success.
- A high level of problem-solving skills is also necessary.
- Matters such as medication delivery, peg feeding, travel/transport, community access, companionship, domestic tasks, meal preparation, oral and nasal suctioning are among the key responsibilities.
- Independent work and initiative-taking are also expected.
- Providing client-focused service in a timely, consistent, coordinated, and flexible manner is vital.
- Familiarity with ongoing issues related to living with a disability at various life stages is beneficial.
