Role Overview

We are seeking a Regional Development Coach to lead the development of talented young footballers. This is a fixed-term role where you will work closely with coaches and athletes to create a positive, safe, and supportive culture.

The successful candidate will have experience working with young people and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have a coaching philosophy aligned with the Victorian Talent Pathway and operational knowledge of player analysis software.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of talented young athletes. As a Regional Development Coach, you will be responsible for leading the development of players through a balanced talent development environment.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, respectful, and enjoyable environment for staff and athletes.
  • Focus on individual player development, providing Personal Development Plans via Smartabase.
  • Facilitate collaboration between girls' and boys' programs through regular cross-program interactions.
  • Provide feedback, vision edits, game and stats analysis, and reporting using platforms like Smartabase, Hudl, and Sportscode.
About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing young athletes and has a strong commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment.

  • Minimum Level 2 AFL Coaching Accreditation or the ability to obtain it.
  • Experience working with young people.
  • Personal initiative and effective team work skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
