Vehicle Technical Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technical Specialist to join our team in Kelmscott. In this dynamic role, you will provide expert technical and policy advice to staff at Vehicle Examination Centres, industry professionals, and members of the public.

About the Role:
  • Assess and approve complex vehicle modifications
  • Conduct vehicle inspections
  • Issue special movement permits for vehicles that fall outside standard compliance

Your analytical skills will be essential in researching and developing policy, operational guidelines, and standards that shape vehicle safety and compliance across the state. You will liaise with national and state stakeholders including government bodies to ensure alignment with Australian Design Rules and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in an automotive environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
