Regional Capability Training Professional

We are seeking a Regional Capability Training Professional to join our team in Perth. The successful candidate will provide classroom, workshop, and technical training for Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprentices and new Technicians.

About the Role:

The primary responsibility of this role is to coach and develop less experienced technicians and apprentices to independently undertake troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on Cummins Products.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Diesel Engine Fundamentals and Basic Diagnostic training to all apprentices in the region.
  • Participate in monthly Capability Trainer meetings and provide updates on progress against Heavy Vehicle Mechanical milestone training plan for the apprentices in your branch/region.
  • Provide regular updates and communicate your training program delivery schedule with Supervisors, Workshop Manager, and Service Manager.
  • Maintain a focus on apprentice safety by participating in extended pre-start meetings to ensure their understanding of workplace hazards and risk.
  • Participate in the annual Apprentice Onboarding Program.
Requirements:
  • Advanced level knowledge of and experience with Heavy Duty Engine products is essential.
  • Previous experience providing technical advice and coaching to apprentices/technicians (preferred).
  • Possess or be willing to work towards achievement of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Minimum 4 years post-trade apprenticeship completion preferred.
  • Candidates must be based in Perth, and willing to travel across the region as required.
