The Opportunity

This Senior HR Manager role offers a unique chance to make a significant impact at Hitachi. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will lead the National HR team across Australia, collaborating closely with Regional HR Advisors and branch Management teams to deliver strategic HR solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering HR strategy across all national branches, working in partnership with the Executive leadership team.
  • Implementing HR improvement projects, driving business growth and efficiency.
  • Partnering with Management to review and implement strategies to continually improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Providing expert advice on employment legislation, benefits, and grievance resolution to support all management levels and employees.
  • Managing and leading the payroll team to ensure timely delivery of scheduled requirements.
  • Collaborating with the national recruitment team to develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop high-calibre employees.
  • Working closely with the learning and development team to continue developing the company's training and career development framework.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the HR team, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services.
  • Ensuring HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with legislative and industry requirements.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have solid experience as an HR Manager in a medium to large enterprise. You will possess strong business acumen and a proven ability to positively enable our people to be the best they can be.

You will need to have:

  • A strong track record of building partnerships with stakeholders across various levels and functions.
  • An excellent understanding of applicable IR laws and regulations impacting the same or similar industry.
  • Experience working in an industrial business, preferably with a global OEM like Hitachi.
  • A Bachelor's degree or relevant formal qualifications in HR.
  • The ability to travel interstate, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
