Senior Human Resources Consultant

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have experience managing end-to-end employee relations matters, leading investigations and managing complex cases. They will be able to manage high volumes of inquiries with excellent customer service skills and provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management Support: Handle HR and volunteer employee relations enquiries, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.
- Policy and Process Development: Assist in creating and refining HR policies, processes, and procedures to support the growing volunteer base.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the HR team, supporting managers with various tasks and project requirements.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure HR practices comply with relevant laws and policies, and contribute to HR reporting.
- Performance Management: Support managers in volunteer performance evaluations, helping develop feedback mechanisms and improvement plans.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and suggest enhancements for greater efficiency and engagement.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records and case management documentation to ensure data integrity.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract position offering a competitive salary of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum. Our ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or similar, strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and a proactive and detail-oriented approach. They will also have effective communication skills, be able to manage relationships with a range of stakeholders, and have a passion for animal welfare.
