Join Our Team of Energy Policy and Regulation Specialists

We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team of Energy Policy and Regulation Specialists at KPMG Australia. As a key member of our Planning & Infrastructure Economics team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of energy by collaborating with industry leaders on cutting-edge energy policy issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to reforms in market design, network planning and regulation, the integration of consumer energy resources, and other dynamic areas shaping the future of the energy sector.
  • Work with governments and policymakers to influence and shape energy policy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Advise clients on strategies to navigate regulatory and policy challenges to optimise value.
  • Contribute to resolving policy questions and issues that impact the energy industry across Australia.
  • Manage client deliverables and expectations, from drafting reports and presentations to building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other KPMG service lines to provide integrated solutions across energy and infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in the policy or regulatory space, either for industry, government, regulatory or policy bodies.
  • Eagerness to drive your career in this space and shape Australia's energy landscape.
  • Strong writing, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Expertise or strong interest in energy policy, market reform, regulatory frameworks, and strategy.
  • Curiosity about how disruptive technologies are transforming the energy sector.
  • Qualifications in commerce, economics, law, engineering, science, or a relevant field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
