Energy Regulatory, Energy Projects, and Corporate and Commercial Energy Law Expertise Sought

Norton Rose Fulbright, a global law firm with over 3,700 lawyers operating from more than 50 cities worldwide, is seeking an expert in energy regulatory, energy projects, or corporate and commercial energy law to join its energy practice.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy markets and renewable energy regulatory advice, with experience in the National Electricity Market. They will support clients across the entire energy value chain, including energy markets and renewable energy regulatory advice, commercial contracting, and energy-focused transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide energy markets and renewable energy regulatory advice and associated projects
  • Support clients in commercial contracting, including connection agreements, supply agreements, power purchase agreements, and novel contract structures for emerging businesses and project structures
  • Work on energy-focused transactions

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' PQE with predominant energy-market exposure and demonstrable experience in the National Electricity Market
  • Passion for renewables and supporting organisations through the energy transition
  • Desire to work on complex matters
  • Strong commerciality, curiosity, and an enthusiastic and proactive attitude
  • Outstanding attention to detail, analytical, and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including client liaison
