The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Regulation Policy and Advocacy to join our Regulation and Policy team at TransGrid. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in identifying and anticipating changes to regulatory and policy frameworks that will enable the delivery of our strategy.

Reporting to the General Manager Regulation and Policy, you will be responsible for advocating for changes to regulatory and policy frameworks as a leading Transmission Network Service Provider (TNSP). You will have a strategic lens and be able to take on challenges with finesse and ease, managing problem-solving with confidentiality and sensitivity in mind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and anticipate changes to regulatory and policy frameworks that will enable the delivery of our strategy
  • Advocate for changes to regulatory and policy frameworks as a leading TNSP
  • Develop and implement strategies to address regulatory and policy challenges
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory and policy matters
Requirements
  • 10-15 years' experience in economics, public policy, strategy or commercial roles, with technical background well regarded
  • At least five years commercial experience is highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of regulated industries (such as utilities and telecommunications) and the national energy market is critical
  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, engineering, business
