We are seeking an exceptional Sydney Harbour Wedding Experience Coordinator to join our Events team at Pier One Sydney Harbour Hotel, a Marriott International property.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of all wedding and social events, developing skills while being motivated by the Sydney lifestyle. Our service style reflects the unique needs of our guests, delivering mind-blowing experiences tailored to each occasion.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Event planning and execution, focusing on seamless delivery and attention to detail
  • Preparing event documentation and coordinating logistics with suppliers and vendors
  • Coordinating weddings and social events, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Delivering bespoke experiences that exceed client expectations, recognizing opportunities for up-selling and enhancing events
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and returning clients, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction
  • Partnering with wedding couples to bring their vision to life, collaborating with the Wedding Sales team on events and expos
  • Managing communication of event details, budgets, and timelines with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Advising on menu and beverage planning, including pre-wedding tastings, and meeting with couples on the day of the wedding
  • Following up with clients post-event to gather feedback and finalize billing and invoicing

Requirements

  • A warm and welcoming demeanor, with excellent personable communication skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the Event/Wedding industry, preferably with qualifications in Hospitality and/or related fields
  • Ability to work weekends, as required by the nature of the role
  • Display a growth mindset, passion for the Hospitality and Wedding industry, and desire to innovate and create memorable experiences

Estimated Salary Range: AU$65,000 - AU$80,000 per annum
