Foster Care Engagement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Carer Engagement Officer to join our team. As a Carer Engagement Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting carers, children, and young people and their families.
Your primary responsibility will be to engage with prospective foster carers, guiding them through the application and assessment process. You will also deliver marketing campaigns and recruitment activities to enhance our brand and increase the number of foster care applicants.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide support and supervision to carers with no current placements, undertake carer reviews, and identify and report on carer support, learning, and training needs.
To be successful in this role, you will require tertiary qualifications in human services, marketing, or a relevant field, as well as prior experience working within the Child Protection sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Respond to enquiries from prospective foster carers in a timely manner
- Deliver appropriate marketing and recruitment campaigns
- Provide support and supervision to carers with no current placements
- Undertake carer reviews and housing safety checks
- Identify and report on carer support, learning, and training needs
