Key Role Summary

The Assistant Store Manager is a pivotal position in delivering exceptional customer experiences and inspiring teams to achieve high performance standards.

This leadership role requires a customer-first mindset, driving sales and profitability by analysing data and reports to identify opportunities and mitigate risks in sales, inventory and operations.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will partner with the Store Manager to inspire the team to deliver excellence in every customer interaction and drive them with passion and purpose, coaching them to cultivate high performance.

You will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of your store, managing the team to achieve financial targets and ensuring visual merchandising excellence. In the absence of the Store Manager, you are the first point of contact for your team, ensuring our customers receive great in-store service that meets the high standards of JD Sports.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Lead with a customer-first approach, coach and inspire the team to create exceptional customer experiences that build loyalty to the brand and your store.
  • Business Development: Drive your stores' performance and deliver results to financial targets, maximise sales and profitability by analysing data and reports to identify opportunities and mitigate risks in sales, inventory and operation.
  • Commercial Operations: With an in-depth knowledge of retail operations, prioritise time, tasks and processes for the best return on investment.
  • Dynamic People Management: Create a positive and motivating store environment that inspires high performance, nurture a strong and positive culture where everyone is valued, recognised, and enabled to succeed through feedback, coaching, training, and recognition. Attract, recruit and develop top talent for your store.
