Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Casual Learning Support Assistant to join our team at the Catholic Schools Office Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide support and assistance to students and teachers in our schools.

About the Role

This is a casual opportunity to work with students with disability in a supportive and inclusive environment. You will work under the direction of a teacher and in collaboration with school staff, CSO staff, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to students with disability in a classroom setting
  • Administer assessments and deliver interventions under the direction of a teacher
  • Implement adjustments required for individual students and groups of students
  • Support student enrolment and transitions under the direction of a teacher
Requirements
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
  • Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support or experience in schools (desirable)
