About the Role

St Patrick’s College Sutherland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diverse Learning Teacher to join our team. As a Diverse Learning Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing quality education to our students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • Demonstrate the ability to differentiate curriculum for Years 7-12
  • Display qualifications and/or experience teaching students with diverse needs
  • Coordinate individual learning plans, including regular consultation with teachers, students, parents/carers and external agencies
  • Work collaboratively within the Diverse Learning team and with classroom teachers
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Disability Standards for Education (DSE) 2005 and the processes integral to the annual Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)
  • Utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
  • Employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
  • Support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • Integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
