Job Title: Forensic Officer

As a key member of our forensic services team, the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality casework assistance to support our Document Examination Unit.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with scientific equipment and possess administrative skills.

The role involves exhibit handling, case processing, preparation of case files and initial examinations under supervision from experienced caseworkers. They will also assist in prioritizing tasks to achieve specified targets.

About the Role:

The Forensic Officer will play a vital role in ensuring that exhibits are handled correctly and that case files are prepared accurately. This includes performing instrument checks and assisting in the preparation of case files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality casework assistance to support the Document Examination Unit
  • Perform exhibit handling, case processing and preparation of case files
  • Assist in prioritizing tasks to achieve specified targets
  • Perform initial examinations under supervision from experienced caseworkers
  • Conduct instrument checks and prepare case files for submission
