Job Summary:
Claims Manager Role- This position is responsible for managing and resolving claims and compensation issues.
We are seeking a skilled Claims Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Main Responsibilities:- Managing claims and compensation-related issues through participation in grievance and dispute resolution.
- Representing the agency on legal and compensation matters, including negotiation and representation at the SA Employment Tribunal.
- Delivering prompt, efficient, cost-effective, and equitable claims and compensation services, including consultancy, claim determinations, monitoring, and approval of costs inclusive of treatment and income maintenance, negotiation, and resolution of disputes, meeting all legislative requirements and accreditation standards.
- Developing and maintaining best practices and innovative approaches to claims and compensation, ensuring equity, diversity, and individual needs of the injured worker are considered and reducing the impact of work-related injury to the individual and the organisation.
- Reviewing and preparing reports to identify opportunities for improvement with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice.
- Contributing to the implementation of Injury Management (IM) plans, programs, and strategies that support the agency's strategic priorities.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Demonstrated knowledge of injury management legislation, regulations, standards, policies, and practices, with familiarity across other state and national frameworks desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (employees, managers, medical professionals, and insurers).
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills with a proactive mindset and excellent attention to detail.
