Job Overview:

">

We seek a skilled leader with experience in chaplaincy or a related field to serve as a Chaplain for our organization. The successful candidate will provide pastoral care and support while leading a team of Pastoral Care staff.

This role involves providing guidance and leadership while working across diverse groups, including LGBTI+, cultural, theological, ecumenical, and interfaith. The Chaplain will lead a team of Pastoral Practitioners in our area and be an active member of our church's Presbytery.

Essential Requirements:

">

A Diploma or Degree in Theology or Ministry or Community Development. A Successful Criminal History Records Check, Working with Vulnerable People Check (ACT), and Working with Kids Check, and 'In good standing with faith tradition' requirement. At least 2 or more units of completed Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent.

Experience Required:

This is a management role requiring 2 or more years' experience in ministry, chaplaincy, or community development. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organized, systematic, thorough, accurate, and disciplined.

They will demonstrate the ability to identify, document, and report changing care needs, preferences, and lifestyle choices of the person in our care. Experience working or volunteering in spiritual pastoral care with older people is essential.

Sound knowledge and understanding of our church and its polity, structure, systems, and processes are required. Understanding of spiritual pastoral care issues relating to people in our care is also necessary.
