Customer Service Ambassador

Shangri-La Cairns is seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Guest Service Representative to join our team of friendly and dedicated professionals in the Front Office department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring a 5-star experience throughout their stay.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, handling all necessary paperwork and documentation.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide information about the hotel's amenities, services, and local attractions, as well as assist with concierge services such as booking transportation and making restaurant reservations.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a fair and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions.
- Ensure the lobby and other public areas are clean and well-maintained, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Coordinate with other hotel staff to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, representing the hotel in a positive light to guests and visitors.
- Proven experience in a Front Office role, preferably in a 5-star hotel environment.
- Experience with OPERA PMS is essential.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a high standard of personal presentation.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
