About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Engineer to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our Engineering and Construction department, you will play a crucial role in the development of engineering designs for our solar PV and battery projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute engineering designs for solar PV and battery projects, ensuring technical feasibility and compliance with EDPR standards.
  • Collaborate with local and global teams to optimize designs and ensure technical suitability and economic efficiency.
  • Perform various engineering tasks, including producing drawings and reports, and performing calculations and analysis to ensure systems meet global standards.
  • Support the elaboration of specifications for basic and executive projects, and supervise the technical adequacy of them.
  • Provide technical support to various internal teams during the project life cycle, attending different technical and economic needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • At least 2 years' experience in planning, engineering, and design of projects for PV Plants, BESS plants, substations, and high-voltage lines.
  • Experience in permitting process of the above works is desirable.
  • Experience in Wind Farm projects is desirable.
  • Experience in coordination and delivery of engineering projects.
  • Experience in coordination of external engineering companies.
  • Reneable Energy and/or Power utility experience is preferred.
Technical Skillsets
  • Required: Solar Photovoltaic Design, Energy storage design, Medium voltage reticulation system design, Substation Design, SCADA & Communications systems design, Project Management.
  • Desired: Wind Farm Design, Power system studies, Python scripting for task automation & data analysis, Sharepoint & Microsoft 365 tools.
