About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the site management of construction works for transmission line projects. You will be attending and actively participating in project site progress meetings and resolving conflict and disputes which arise throughout contracts, as well as ensuring that testing and commissioning is performed in accordance with ITP's and Commissioning Check Sheets.
You will be monitoring contractor performance to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, specifications, company policies and procedures, local safety and environmental plans, and all stakeholder expectations are met. In addition to this, you will be assisting with design activities associated with the development of allocated projects, and investigations into the performance of assets associated with allocated projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Site management of construction works for transmission line projects
- Attending and participating in project site progress meetings
- Resolving conflict and disputes throughout contracts
- Ensuring testing and commissioning is performed in accordance with ITP's and Commissioning Check Sheets
- Monitoring contractor performance to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
- Assisting with design activities associated with the development of allocated projects
- Investigating the performance of assets associated with allocated projects
Requirements
- Possession of an appropriate qualification: Electrical trade certificate or equivalent; Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Project Management or equivalent; or Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil), Project Management or equivalent
- Authorised under company Safety Rules – (perform low voltage and high voltage switching) or be willing to undergo training to obtain
- Experience in construction, testing and commissioning of transmission assets
- Knowledge in the application of WHS and environmental legislation relative to duties of the position
- Knowledge of corporate drawings, design and management systems
- Sound interpersonal skills (including written and oral communication), which will facilitate the achievement of project objectives
- Knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Good computer skills and knowledge of computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Project and Ellipse
- NSW Driver's Licence
- Willingness to assist with implementation of organisational change
