The role of Land Services Officer is pivotal in delivering front-line services to farmers, community groups, and the broader community. This position involves providing natural resource management advice, agricultural sustainability and productivity advice, and extension services. Additionally, it entails the delivery of best practice invasive pest management, support on native vegetation management, including land management regulations and advice, and supporting emergency response and recovery services.
In this role, you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including farmers, community groups, and local and state government, to develop partnerships, collaborate, manage projects, conduct field work, and monitor, evaluate, and report on outcomes.
About the RoleThis role offers an opportunity to take the next step in your career in Natural Resource Management, Plant Biosecurity, Sustainable Agriculture, Invasive Pest Management, and/or Agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver front-line services to farmers, community groups, and the broader community.
- Provide natural resource management advice, agricultural sustainability and productivity advice, and extension services.
- Deliver best practice invasive pest management and support on native vegetation management.
- Support emergency response and recovery services.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop partnerships, collaborate, manage projects, conduct field work, and monitor, evaluate, and report on outcomes.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and keen individuals who want to learn new skills. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage with rural landholders, industry groups, and other key stakeholders.
You will be flexible, adaptable, and able to work across all functional areas, including agriculture, environment, invasive pests, biosecurity, and emergency management.
You should have a strong understanding of agriculture in the north coast region and knowledge of natural resource management and biosecurity.
Demonstrated experience in delivering effective programs to primary producers and diverse stakeholders is highly desirable.
