Join to apply for the Land Services Officer - Talent Pool role at NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. North Coast Local Land Services (LLS) is creating a talent pool for ongoing and temporary roles that may become available over the next eighteen months.
Responsibilities- Deliver front line services to farmers, community groups, and the broader community to support healthy, sustainable and productive landscapes.
- Provide natural resource management, agricultural sustainability and productivity advice and extension services.
- Deliver best practice invasive pest management, support native vegetation management including land management regulations, and assist with emergency response and recovery services.
- Develop partnerships with stakeholders, collaborate on projects, conduct field work, and monitor, evaluate and report on outcomes.
- Enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn new skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to engage with rural landholders, industry groups and other stakeholders.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to work across agriculture, environment, invasive pests, biosecurity and emergency management.
- Strong understanding of agriculture in the North Coast region with knowledge of natural resource management and biosecurity; demonstrated experience delivering programs to primary producers and diverse stakeholders.
